Management and Monitorization SAP
We have coordinated and executed the administration of some of the most complex SAP environments in Spain, giving service in Spain and Latin America in their respective schedules.
We manage our own SAP systems with their Operating Systems and Databases (see SAP implementations) as we use the tools of the company for such tasks as Control-M, Patrol, etc..
Description of the Administration:
- Performance Monitoring and General System behavior:
- System Workload: Monthly Charge System
- Performance Database
- SAP Buffers and Memory usage
- Loading the Database dialogue and background
- Transactions Top 10: Dialogue and background
- Network
- CPU time
- Pagination
- Components: Kernel, Component Software, Passwords
- Database: Monitoring the Archive logs, state of the Datafiles, Historical Growth, Consistency Index and Critical Objects, etc..
- Making
- Performing Backups Transport between environments
Monitoring and Resource Process Management:
- SYSLOG: log of the system that presents any issues that may have.
- Updates Pending: are those updates that the system accepts, but has yet to make, making it critical for system consistency.
- Long-term locks: These are those blocks that are activated to ensure consistency by modifying certain data, and if they do not unlock properly they can cause paralysis of certain transactions.
- ABAP Dumps: This is the log of ABAP programs with run-time errors. Identify those parts of the system that may be giving the performance or functional problems.
- Jobs Cancelled: The jobs are checked (background processes) that are giving a problem that does not allow for proper enforcement, which can cause system tasks not run, or functional problems with off-line processes.
Monitoring the exchange of messages: SAP PI and other middleware environments

- Optimizing Performance: Analysis of programs with longer response times and workload optimization through recommendations for development or creation of indexes.

Every month a report is delivered to the customer with the measurement parameters of the service and system performance (Key Performance Indicators - KPI). It also lists the recommendations for systems improvement and the service itself, performing monthly assessment therefore to adapt the management service to the needs of the moment.
