Architecture and Audits
In the implementation of new SAP products is key for success, the integration into existing systems architecture of the company.
HPS's extensive experience in projects over the years allows us to define the SAP architecture optimizing reliability, performance and costs, while integrating into the administrative system and existing environments.
Not surprisingly we are occasionally hired only on the definition of architecture and / or the project leadership.
Also HPS has made many SAP audits, consisting of systems analysis, definition of the Master Plan to follow, and if the company decides to hire HPS will implement the plan and compared it with previous situation.
We carry out audits and implementation of improvements in the following areas of SAP:
- Security Audits: In addition to checking the usual safety standards identified by SAP (Standard Users, enter encryption of communications components, authentication mechanisms, etc.), perform ethical hacking tests against systems to identify the tools used by hackers to have possible security breaches on the system, including SAP's own bugs. The security is not only the restriction of access to data, high availability mechanisms are also checked, and backup and recovery procedures are also checked.
- Performance Tuning (Workload Analysis-Tuning): Analysis of the behavior of SAP systems, and detect areas for improvement. Check from the OS kernel parameters, communications (installing a sniffer if network problems occur), parameters of SAP transactions and programs with the heaviest burden and rates necessary to optimize SQL queries.
- SAP Enterprise Portal (SAP EP): Check the error logs, security systems used in communications, balancing mechanisms, modifications to the standard used, analysis of the structure used for inheritance among the various objects (Delta Links) and the storage object types within the PCD (Portal Contect Directory), nomenclature used, correct use of prefixes, etc..
- SAP Process Integrator (SAP PI): Checking the error logs, System Landscape Directory Review (SLD) used, review of each stage: Identification of the systems involved, identification of duplication, consistency of set design, recommendations for each channel Communication of each adapter, etc..
